Wood Care Guide
Solid wood gets better with age when it's looked after. A few simple habits go a long way.
Everyday
Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Wipe spills straight away and use coasters and mats under hot or wet items.
Placement
Keep furniture out of direct sunlight and at least a metre from heaters and AC vents. Timber moves with humidity, and that's natural.
Oiled finishes
Re-oil once a year with a food-safe furniture oil. Apply thinly, leave for 15 minutes and buff off the excess.
Lacquered finishes
Clean with a barely damp cloth, then dry. Avoid silicone polishes and harsh chemicals.
